This third lecture in the Development Appraisal series looks at more sophisticated techniques, refinement and accuracy. The lecture will consider:

• The use of sensitivity analysis

• The use of cash flow techniques

• The importance of IRR as a measure of profitability

• Refinement and the interpretation of appraisal results

• Tracking development in the course of construction

In addition the lectue will also review some of the available property development software.

The first two lectures in the series are on the 13th and 21st of October, the last is on the 15th November.

Speaker: Michael Lister BSc MRICS. Mike was Head of Property for the Bank of Ireland, and led the property training section of Clydesdale Bank. He currently teaches at the University of Westminster on property development and how it works together with how banking impacts upon property and how property impacts upon banking. He also teaches the law and practice of the property markets in countries in Continental Europe.
