We've been responding to the many suggestions that you've sent us to improve Reorb, and the second instalment of updates includes new location and search features across the site.
When you update your profile, or upload a research report, event, or group, you can select any location in the world, and it will be geocoded. When someone searches through the contacts, research, events, and groups sections, they will be able to enter any location in the world and a radius, and all of the content in our database within that area will be selected. It is also possible to filter any list of content by proximity (to you or to the location you are searching for).
We've dramatically improved the way in which we handle searching and filtering of content. The results you get now should be much quicker, and in the case of text search, should be highly relevant to the terms that you enter.
Still to come over the next month are features which will enhance the information you can enter in your profile and the way you can discover new contacts, research, events and groups that are of interest to you. |
